Farnham Maltings’ annual yarn festival unravel is taking place on Friday 16 – Sunday 18 February 2018. The 10th anniversary of the event will feature a programme of bookable workshops, talks & demonstrations led by UK & International experts and a marketplace of over 80 quality exhibitors selling yarn & fibre accessories.
We are now welcoming exhibitor applications for 2018!
The application form is accessible here. unravel’s curated marketplace offers opportunities to independent producers, well established practitioners as well as first time exhibitors. We are looking for applications from yarn producers and dyers, knitwear designers, and independent purveyors of artisan yarn and all knitting, crochet and spinning notions.
As we receive a great deal more applications than we can accept, exhibitors are selected by a panel and not on a first come first served basis. This selection process aims to ensure that visitors are offered an eclectic mix of exhibitors and variety within what is available to buy. Please take a look at the selection criteria below for more details:
Please take the following criteria into consideration when making your application:
- How your products/items fit in with our ethos of unravel a showcase for contemporary craft.
- How your products/ items fit in with the range of disciplines available at unravel.
- If you are a returning exhibitor, what new items you intend to show (this is important so that we can keep the festival fresh and engaging for a returning audience).
- If the range of products/ items falls into more than one category, then the unravel selection panel reserves the right to specify the products/items that can feature.
Please support your application with clear photos that accurately represent what you are intending to sell.
Exhibitor applications close on Thursday 31 August 2017. Any applications after this date may not be considered. Selections will be made after the closing date and you will be informed whether your application was successful. Thank you for your interest in unravel.
A huge thank you to all who have supported the festival over the years. For those wishing to get a flavour of the festival, last year’s programme can be viewed in the craft archive here. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram to keep updated with all the news in forthcoming months.
