Socks for Complete Beginners with Kate Atherley
Sunday 23 February 9:30am – 12:30pm
Curious about sock knitting but feeling intimidated? This class gets you started working in the round and teaches you everything you need to know. Kate will explain sock construction (toe-up, top-down), you’ll learn how to read a sock pattern, how to understand sizing, and how to find great patterns.
Students must know how to knit, purl, cast on and off, and be familiar with increasing and decreasing. Experience working in the round is not required.
What do participants need to bring:
About 25g of DK or aran weight yarn in a light colour and a set of 4mm double-pointed needles.
Yarn for this workshop is generously provided by The Loveliest Yarn Company
