Roosimine with Aleks Byrd
Friday 21 February 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Looking to add some unique embellishment to your knitting? Roosimine is an Estonian inlay technique that creates the appearance of embroidery through contrasting intentional floats on the right side of your knitting. It’s the perfect technique to add a little interest to your next project that is easier than intarsia.
Skill Level: Students should be comfortable knitting in the round and reading from charts.
What do participants need to bring:
- 3.75 mm / US 5 needles for knitting small circumference (double pointed needles or circular needles for magic loop)
- stitch markers
- DK yarn in at least two contrasting colours, approximately 20g of each colour
Yarn for this workshop is generously provided by John Arbon Textiles
