Mosaic Colourwork with Vincent Deslandes
Friday 21 February 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Colourwork in knitting: more than stranded!
Does stranded colourwork scare you but you’d like to add more than one colour to your knits? Or are you a standed colourwork pro who has never tried mosaic knitting? This workshop is for beginner and intermediate knitters who want to learn or perfect mosaic knitting.
In this class participants will learn the basics and simple rules of mosaic knitting, how to read a mosaic knitting chart, and the different types of mosaic patterns.
Skill level: Participants should be comfortable with knitting and purling and knitting in the round. Experience in reading knitting charts is not required, but encouraged.
What do participants need to bring:
- Pencil and paper for taking notes
- Small quantities of yarn such as 4ply, sport or DK weight, a few yards in solid or semi-tonal contrasting colours, at least four different colours, but the more the better!
- Appropriate needles for the size of yarn
Yarn for this workshop is generously provided by Erika Knight Yarns
