Stuey Burnett spent his first career as an advertising creative director, having studied graphic design in Bristol. He now combines that 25 years of communication experience with a meaningful aesthetic, making commercial films for international, luxury brands such as McLaren Automotive, Raymond Weil and The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Stuey’s first love, however, is in his practice as a fine art photographer. He is fascinated by change – something he puts down to moving a lot as a child, and his design training, where there is always dissatisfaction with how things are, how they work and how they look. Change, linked with time, is at the heart of his work, which ponders evolution, erosion and decay, and manifests in beautifully composed images that reveal a message for those willing to meditate on them.
