About Marion:

Marion has been crafting for many years and is has had a go at most things.  She began knitting, sewing and embroidery at the age of five, sitting with my grandmother while she sewed. She was a seamstress and made loose covers for furniture. Handwork has been a constant pastime through Marion’s life and over the years, she has set up various groups, including “Nimble Fingers” in the North East of England, a Cross stitch group that is still going strong 25 years later. Marion currently leads the knitting group “Knitwits” here at Farnham Maltings, where members meet on a weekly basis.

Marion in her own words: “It gives me much pleasure to be able to pass on my knowledge to others.  I would hate to see all the old skills die out and I try to encourage people to try a new craft. I hope to continue making things for many years to come as I have many projects lined up and am waiting for the time to tackle them. Please can I have 48 hours in each day?”
