Bavarian Twisted Stitch with Fiona Morris
Friday 19 February – 10am – 1pm book tickets here
Bavarian Twisted Stitches are a group of stitch patterns that use cable and travelling stitches combined with twisted stitches to make the pattern stitches stand proud of the reverse stocking stitch background. Traditionally the patterns were used in socks but can make a lovely variation from Aran cables.
In the class you will be provided with charts and instructions to work samples of several different patterns and a beret pattern to take home with you.
Experience level: Not suitable for complete beginner.
Please bring: a smooth light coloured yarn (DK or Aran are ideal), needles suitable for the yarn you are using and a cable needle.
As well as the beret pattern provided it will be possible in the workshop to start knitting a phone cover in the round if you would rather start a small project instead of knitting samples.
If you wish to start knitting the phone cover you will need DK weight yarn, 4mm needles either set of 5 dpns, 2 circulars or 1 one circular needle depending on what method you like to use to knit a small item in the round.
