Drawing & Creative Inspiration for Textiles

Saturday 8th June 9am-12pm

A hands on creative workshop full of inspiration and ideas of how to translate your personal visual research and creative inspiration into ideas for textile applications. You will learn simple effective techniques to transform colour, proportion, texture and design inspiration. Enjoy conversations and practical support with developing ideas and how to translate this into whatever textile mediums you enjoy working in. You are not making textiles within this workshop you are creating a body of inspirational visual work.

Level/Ability: No experience needed

Notes, any additional info, what do people need to bring? Please bring a few images which inspire you whether this is colour, texture, shape and/or pattern. They may be your own photography or gathered images such as from pinterest.  Also bring a selection of your favourite drawing mediums to work with.

The 1st floor East Wing has an external stair lift for disabled use which standard wheelchairs can be placed and Dance Studio 2 has an internal ramp for wheelchair access. Please note that Dance Studio 1 has stairs up to it.
