Design Your Own Colourwork Hat with Karie Westermann
Saturday 22 February 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Ever had a great idea for a hat? Turn your idea into satisfying reality with designer Karie Westermann as you learn about how to design pattern repeats and pretty hat crowns. We will also talk about working within knitting traditions, choosing colours and finding the right yarn for a project.
Skill level: Suitable for advanced beginners and up.
Participants should be able to cast on/off, knit and purl, work in the round,basic decreases, and have experience of basic colourwork and basic colourwork charts.
What do participants need to bring:
- At least two colours of a woolly DK yarn (25g each or more)
- 4mm needles
- Graph paper
- Coloured pencil or pens
- Any source of inspiration you might have
