Beyond Basic Brioche, Two Colours with Nancy Marchant
Saturday 18 February – 09:00- 12noon, £45 (includes day entry to the unravel festival, plus tea or coffee)
Learn to work plain brioche and brioche-stitch variations with two or more colours.
You will make designer increases and decreases and create new patterning by moving the stitch around. There is still so much to explore in this newly introduced technique. You will leave the class inspired and ready to design your own brioche knitted projects.
Level / Ability
Participants should bring 3-4 colors worsted or DK weight plain wool or cotton yarn, double-pointed or circular 4mm (US 6) needles
Nancy Marchant is the Queen Mother of Brioche. For over 30 years, Nancy has studied the nuances of this European stitch, developing new and exciting stitches and techniques for achieving beautiful results. She is the author of Knitting Brioche, Knitting Fresh Brioche, Leafy Brioche and is working on her current knitting passion of developing tuck stitches. Nancy lives in Amsterdam yet still finds the time to travel the world giving lessons and spreading the Brioche love around.
