Unravel is delighted to be supporting the ‘Twiddlemuffs’ initiative, as part of Farnham Maltings Arts & Elders dementia awareness work, in collaboration with Hampshire Hospitals.
Twiddlemuffs are knitted hand muffs that contain strands of textured ribbons, beads and various fabrics attached both inside and outside. They provide a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation for dementia patients and keep hands snug and warm at the same time.
Unravel are asking knitters coming to the festival to support the campaign by making a hand muff, or muffs, and donating them at the Twiddlemuff collection point.
