Beaded Lace Knitting with Anniken Allis (Yarn Addict)

Beads add glamour and elegance to any knitting but works particularly well with lace knitting. In this class you will learn different ways of adding beads to your knitting and how to choose which method to use for your project. You’ll also learn how to read lace charts and work common lace stitches.
Experience level: Knitters need to know how to knit, purl, cast on and cast off and be willing to give it a go. Suitable for adventurous novice knitters to intermediate knitters.
Please bring: 4ply or sock yarn and 4mm needles (circulars or straight needles)
About Anniken Allis: Anniken is considered one of the UK’s leading lace knitting designers and learnt to knit as a young child while growing up in Norway. Her designs feature a variety of techniques but she’s especially known for her beautiful lace designs. She’s experienced across a range of knitting techniques and a very popular and patient teacher. Anniken has been designing and teaching since 2006/07 and has been published in a variety of knitting and crochet magazines including Vogue Knitting, Debbie Bliss Magazine, Interweave Knits, Interweave Crochet, The Knitter, Let’s Knit, Knitting, Knit Today and several more. She has also designed for several British and international yarn companies. Anniken’s first book, Beaded Lace Knitting, was published in 2015 by Stackpole Books and she has contributed to several books by Sixth & Spring Books.
