Autumn craft workshop highlights

Have you got that back-to-school feeling now that there’s a nip in the air in the mornings?

We love autumn as it always signals a time to get crafting once again. This season we have a bumper line up of workshops from a hugely talented selection of makers. There’s something here for everyone whether you’re a knitter, weaver, writer, jewellery maker, textile enthusiast or wanting to try something completely new.

The end of this month offers artistic pursuits from Japanese Calligraphy to the opportunity to create a Mosaic Birdbath, to learning about mixing colour in Colour in Watercolour.

Many activities in October take half term into account and provide plenty of opportunities to get creative with the younger set. Make some magic with Shibori Indigo Dye for Children or some Spooky Scratch Art alongside Halloween Cupcake Decorating. Our annual Festival of Crafts at the end of the month also features the opportunity to try your hand at Modern Calligraphy, Paper Marbling and the Art of Sumingashi, and even an Introduction to Needle Felting.
